Application & Data Security Architect in Houston, TX

Application & Data Security Architect, based in Houston, for an initial 6-month engagement to start with for a long-term engagement. 

The role will focus primarily on DevSecOps, requiring hands-on experience with SAST, DAST, and SCA tools, and preferably a background in reviewing and securing custom application and data implementations on Azure.
The position is responsible for defining and implementing secure SDLC and DevSecOps practices, integrating automated security controls into CI/CD pipelines (including SAST, DAST, SCA, and secrets scanning), and establishing secure-by-design architecture patterns for applications and data platforms. The role will work across Central IT and Business IT teams, presenting security tooling, assessments, and clearly articulating business risk and recommending mitigation strategies.
