Fullstack Java Developer

Introduction:

We are seeking a highly skilled Fullstack Java Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java development, web application development, and batch applications. They will be responsible for developing and supporting JAVA applications, implementing RESTful APIs, and working on web page development using technologies such as Struts, JSP, HTML, JQUERY, CSS, and JSON. Additionally, the candidate should have experience with Agile development, test automation, and Version Control systems.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and support JAVA applications, web applications, and batch applications
• Implement RESTful APIs and web page development using technologies such as Struts, JSP, HTML, JQUERY, CSS, and JSON
• Work on event-driven applications using technologies like Kafka
• Collaborate with team members on Agile development projects
• Conduct test automation including unit tests, functional tests, regression tests, and performance tests
• Assist with migration planning and mainframe integration
• Maintain code repositories using Version Control systems like GIT
• Stay updated on new technologies and best practices in the field

Requirements:

Required Experience:

• Minimum of 8 years in Java development and 3 years of Fullstack experience
• Experience in JAVA application development, web application, batch applications, and support
• Experience with Oracle DB query development (including Hibernate in Spring Framework)
• Experience with test automation in unit tests, functional tests, regression tests, and performance tests
• Experience with implementing in Playwright and CICD with Jenkins
• Experience with Version One and Agile development

Required Technical Skills:

• Expert in Java, especially J2EE, and Spring Framework
• Expert in RESTFul API development
• Expert in web page development, including Struts, JSP, HTML, JQUERY, CSS, JSON, etc.
• Experienced with Kubernates, micro-services, event-driven application with Kafka
• Knowledge of best practices in Version Controls (especially GIT)
• Understanding of new technologies in order to assist with migration
• Advanced AI Tooling experience, specifically Github Copilot

Required Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment with a focus on quality and attention to detail

Additional Required Skills/Experience:

• A minimum of Eight (8) years’ relevant experience
• A degree from an accredited College/University in the applicable field of services is required. If the individual''s degree is not in the applicable field then four additional years of related experience is required
• Typically performs all functional duties independently
• Note: Special credentials (licenses and/or certifications) may be required at the Task Order level on a case-specific basis
