ETL Migration Consultant

Summary:

• Client is seeking an experienced ETL Migration Engineer to support large-scale modernization of enterprise data integration platforms.
• This role focuses on migrating legacy Informatica ETL workflows to modern cloud-native and open-source solutions such as SnapLogic, Airflow, dbt, and similar technologies.
• The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on Informatica experience, proven success in ETL migration initiatives, and expertise in cloud infrastructure, automation, and DevOps technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Migrate legacy Informatica ETL workflows to modern ETL platforms such as SnapLogic, Airflow, dbt, or other cloud-native solutions.
• Analyze existing ETL architectures and translate legacy workflows into target-platform implementations.
• Develop migration strategies, documentation, and reusable migration artifacts.
• Partner with architecture, data engineering, and business teams to plan migration priorities and execution.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, DevAssist, etc.) to improve migration efficiency.
• Automate deployment and operational processes using Python and scripting.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, release management, and production issue resolution.
• Work within cloud-native environments leveraging Kubernetes and serverless architectures.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong experience migrating ETL solutions from one ETL platform to another.
• Hands-on Informatica development and/or administration experience.
• Experience with modern ETL tools such as SnapLogic, Airflow, dbt, or similar platforms.
• Strong knowledge of AWS and Azure cloud environments.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Python scripting and automation expertise.
• DevOps experience with Jenkins, Terraform, or OpenTofu.
• Experience working with serverless architectures.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or DevAssist.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
