Our client, a leading organization in broadband and networking technology, is seeking a dedicated Embedded Software Developer to join their innovative team. As an Embedded Software Developer, you will be part of the RDK-B support team, contributing to the development of advanced gateway solutions. Job Title: Embedded Software Developer
Location: Santa Clara, CA
Pay Range: $40 - $58/hr
What's the Job?
- Design, develop, and integrate software components for broadband gateway products.
- Implement features such as Parental Control, firewall/iptables, DHCP, SNMP, TR069/TR181, and network management.
- Debug and resolve issues within embedded Linux environments, including kernel and user space.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure platform standards and seamless integration.
- Optimize system performance and troubleshoot customer-reported issues effectively.
What's Needed?
- 3+ years of experience in embedded software development using C (C++ is a plus).
- Strong knowledge of RDK-B, OpenWRT, prplOS architecture, and broadband gateway technologies.
- Hands-on experience with embedded Linux, kernel concepts, and system debugging tools.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP stack, networking protocols, and packet flow.
- Experience with firewall/iptables, IPv6 transition technologies, source control, and debugging tools.
