Roles & Responsibilities The BSA contributes to defining, documenting, and managing requirements that guide the creation of technology solutions. Core responsibilities include:
- Extract Requirements: Gather and validate project requirements by engaging with users, reviewing existing processes, and conducting research.
- Constrain Requirements: Help ensure requirements are complete, accurate, and focused on critical business needs rather than individual preferences.
- Organize Requirements: Categorize and structure requirements to support clear communication and efficient project execution.
- Translate Requirements: Convert business needs into clear technical requirements using analysis and modeling tools.
- Safeguard Requirements: Verify accuracy, validity, and alignment of requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Simplify Requirements: Promote solutions that are practical, efficient, and aligned with strategic business goals.
- Verify Requirements: Support testing and validation to ensure delivered solutions meet defined needs.
- Manage Requirements: Participate in requirement review sessions, support project timeline updates, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- System & Operations Support: Assist with system maintenance, troubleshooting, enhancements, documentation, and ongoing operational needs.
Duties The BSA focuses on identifying opportunities to improve operational processes and leveraging technology to enhance productivity, efficiency, and strategic outcomes. Responsibilities include:
- Studying business functions to determine operational objectives and necessary output requirements.
- Analyzing departmental processes for inefficiencies and proposing technology?driven improvements.
- Serving as a liaison between stakeholders and technical teams.
- Translating business needs into detailed software requirements.
- Documenting and validating data and workflow information.
- Recommending procedural or control improvements.
- Using modeling and testing techniques to improve information flow and project success.
- Consulting with users and leadership to understand system needs.
- Contributing to system design to meet business objectives.
- Defining user inputs, outputs, and functional requirements.
- Applying structured analysis, sampling, modeling, and standard business principles to ensure solutions are cost-effective and viable.
- Supporting users through documentation, training, and help-desk assistance.
- Maintaining professional knowledge through training, publications, networking, and industry involvement.
Requirements- Bachelor s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Experience implementing or supporting an ERP system such as Oracle NetSuite or an equivalent.
(Preference for NetSuite experience is acceptable because it doesn't identify the client.)
- Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Highly analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
