location: Chandler, Arizona
job type: Contract
salary: $36.09 - 41.09 per hour
work hours: 8am to 5pm
education: Bachelors
responsibilities:
3 requirements that RTM judges candidates by:
Project Management - doesn't have to be a Six Sigma Black Belt, but needs to know how projects work, break down larger items into smaller chunks to allow them to be more successful in addressing them. Need to be able to manage themselves and their own work. Client is a complicated place. Can't sit and wait, need to chase things down. Instead of screening specifically for "project managers," look for those who have worked in high volume, high process environments.
Relationship Management - Need to know how to work with people, are going to be working with others that they may need to gather things from. Can only write configurations as fast as the partner is willing to answer questions. Can't be toxic, needs to be a people person. Will coordinate with Product and Application Owners, kindly ask for actions that will help to avoid policy and compliance violations. "How do you get productivity out of others that you have no authority over? "
Technical Expertise - On a scale of Beginner (layman knowledge), Intermediate (general technical knowledge), Advanced (specific knowledge of state of the art tools), Expert (can recite the history of tools, systems, and processes), at this level a high tier candidate would be advanced, at least intermediate. May be well versed in programming, encryption, or other silos in security that they're capable of going deep in. Can't be someone who has only manned the phone at a help desk and only reset passwords before. If you can go deep on one silo, like Linux baselines, it can help you to understand when something may not be making sense in another.
