Summary

Job Title: Senior Network Firewall Engineer

Location-Remote

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Network Firewall Engineer to design, implement, and manage enterprise firewall and network security solutions. This role focuses on protecting organizational networks, ensuring secure access, and maintaining high availability of security infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, configure, and manage firewall solutions across the enterprise
Implement and maintain network security policies, rules, and access controls
Monitor firewall performance, logs, and security events
Perform firewall rule reviews, optimization, and compliance checks
Troubleshoot complex network and security issues
Manage VPNs (site-to-site and remote access) and secure connectivity
Conduct vulnerability assessments and support remediation efforts
Collaborate with security, network, and application teams
Support incident response and security investigations
Ensure high availability and disaster recovery of firewall infrastructure
Maintain documentation, configurations, and change management records

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
6–10 years of experience in network security and firewall management
Strong hands-on experience with firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA/Firepower, Check Point)
Deep understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, switching, NAT)
Experience with VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN)
Knowledge of IDS/IPS, proxy, and web security solutions
Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications such as PCNSE (Palo Alto), NSE (Fortinet), CCNP Security, CISSP
Experience with cloud security (Azure, AWS firewall/security groups)
Knowledge of automation/scripting (Python, PowerShell)
Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
