What you will do:Johnson Controls is searching for a highly skilled and experienced
Software Engineer to build, deploy, and provide production support for cloud and on-premises based web applications. The role blends hands-on software development and deployments in a Microsoft Azure environment, troubleshooting and resolving customer support tickets, and providing continuous timely support for operational issues.
You will be working in an agile environment, with both onshore and offshore teammates, as well as with our leadership team, using iterative and cutting-edge development methods.
How you will do it:The Software Engineer will be responsible for supporting production applications and resolve issues, update application code, execute database queries, and collaborate with networking, DBAs, cloud engineers, and hardware engineers to ensure stability of JCI solutions. In addition, the Software Engineer will establish and maintain DevOps deployment pipelines, cloud-based resources, develop applications using ReactJS and Spring Boot, and maintain RDBMS code bases.
What we look for:- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required, specializing in computer science, engineering, or related field
- Excellent troubleshooting skills on web and mobile applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Minimum 3+ years of experience creating and supporting web and mobile applications
- Strong experience with ReactJS, Java, and Spring Boot development
- Strong experience with SQL on RDBMS databases
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure application development, deployment and support
- Experience with providing DevOps support in cloud environments
- Experience with executing, building, and deploying REST and SOAP services
- Experience using Jira and Azure DevOps
- Experience with AI development tools, e.g. GitHub Copilot
- Experience with developing SaaS applications
- Experience and desire to work within a fast-paced, iterative development environment
This is a hybrid role at our Boca Raton, Florida office.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $85,200 - $107,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
