Job Description:

• ·         We are looking for an experienced SAP BASIS Consultant to administer, monitor, optimize, and support SAP landscapes across ECC, S/4HANA, BW, PI/PO, Solution Manager, SAP HANA, and related middleware components. The consultant will be responsible for system availability, performance, upgrades, migrations, security coordination, transport governance, incident resolution, and technical support for business-critical SAP environments
• ·         Key Responsibilities
• ·         Administer and support SAP landscapes including ECC, S/4HANA, BW, CRM, PI/PO, SAP Gateway, Fiori front-end server, Solution Manager, and SAP HANA systems.
• ·         Perform daily system health checks, background job monitoring, spool administration, interface monitoring, log analysis, and proactive issue identification.
• ·         Manage SAP transports using Transport Management System (TMS), including import scheduling, sequencing, troubleshooting, and audit-ready documentation.
• ·         Support SAP kernel upgrades, support package stack upgrades, enhancement package upgrades, add-on installations, SPAM/SAINT activities, and SUM/DMO-based maintenance.
• ·         Provide HANA database administration support including start/stop, backup monitoring, tenant/system database checks, license checks, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• ·         Plan and execute system refreshes, client copies, homogeneoheterogeneous migrations, post-refresh activities, and environment stabilization.
• ·         Monitor and tune system performance using ST02, ST03N, ST04, SM50, SM51, SM66, DBACOCKPIT, EarlyWatch Alert reports, and other SAP tools.
• ·         Coordinate with SAP Security teams for user administration, authorization issue analysis, role troubleshooting, SOD-aligned access support, and audit-related activities.
• ·         Raise and track SAP incidents through SAP ONE Support Launchpad, apply SAP Notes, coordinate OSS connections, and work with SAP support for critical issues.
• ·         Support high-priority P1/P2 incidents, root cause analysis, service restoration, stakeholder communication, and preventive action tracking.
• ·         Collaborate with functional, ABAP, infrastructure, database, network, cloud, and application teams for integrated SAP operations and project delivery.
• ·         Create and maintain technical documentation, operational runbooks, change records, SOPs, system inventory, refresh plans, and knowledge transition materials.
  Must-Have Skills
• ·         Strong hands-on experience in SAP BASIS administration for SAP NetWeaver-based systems and S/4HANA landscapes.
• ·         Experience with SAP HANA administration, HANA Studio / Cockpit, backup/restore monitoring, tenant database management, and performance troubleshooting.
• ·         Good working knowledge of SAP upgrades, support package application, kernel upgrades, SUM, DMO, system copies, and refresh activities.
• ·         Hands-on experience with transport management, background jobs, printer/spool management, RFC destinations, SAP profiles, operation modes, and system parameters.
• ·         Experience in incident, problem, change, and release management processes using tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent ITSM platforms.
• ·         Familiarity with SAP Fiori, SAP Gateway, web dispatcher, SSL certificates, SSO/SAML basics, SAProuter, and interface connectivity troubleshooting.
• ·         Working knowledge of operating systems such as Linux/Unix and Windows, and databases such as HANA, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, or Sybase.
• ·         Ability to work in production support models with defined SLAs, on-call support, and critical incident response.
• ·         Good-to-Have Skills
• ·         Exposure to cloud-hosted SAP landscapes on Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
• ·         Experience with SAP Solution Manager, ChaRM, Monitoring, EarlyWatch Alert, Focused Run, or equivalent observability platforms.
• ·         Understanding of SAP BTP administration, Cloud Connector, Integration Suite, or hybrid integration patterns.
• ·         Knowledge of automation or scripting using shell scripts, PowerShell, Python, Ansible, or similar tools.
• ·         SAP certifications in BASIS, HANA, S/4HANA system administration, or cloud infrastructure are preferred.
• ·         Required Soft Skills

• ·         Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities with ownership mindset.
• ·         Ability to work collaboratively with global delivery teams across time zones.
• ·         Strong documentation discipline and ability to create clear technical runbooks.

  Preferred Candidate Profile
• ·         Has supported or implemented SAP landscapes in production environments with strict SLA expectations.
• ·         Has participated in upgrades, migrations, system copies, refreshes, audits, or DR exercises.
• ·         Can balance hands-on technical work with coordination, communication, and delivery governance.
• ·         Understands enterprise change management, audit requirements, and operational risk controls.
