Description
SAIC is seeking Data Architects to join the Machine-assisted Analytic Rapid-repository System (MARS) Advanced Development Operations (DevOps) and Sustainment Support (ADOS) program and provide on-site technical support to facilitate operations of critical MARS infrastructure and services. This effort focuses on providing a comprehensive set of System/ Software Engineering and IT Services to maintain, sustain, enhance, and improve/ modernize MARS. The ideal candidate will be located in the National Capital Region.

Description

The Data Architect responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Design and manage the data architecture that underpins the MARS system
- Develop comprehensive data models, schemas, and storage solutions that ensure efficient data integration, retrieval, and analysis
- Establish data governance frameworks, standardize data definitions, and implement best practices to maintain data quality and consistency across the system
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to align data architecture with business requirements and to optimize performance, scalability, and security
- Guide the team in deploying advanced data management tools and technologies, ensuring seamless data flow and accessibility
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Bachelor's Degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or Software Engineering and 10 years or more of related experience; Masters and 8 years or more experience (an additional 4 years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree)
- Active Certification: Security+, SecurityX/ CASP+, CCNP Security, CISSP, CISA, Cloud+, or CISM
- Extensive experience in leading the development of data architectures, optimizing database systems, and ensuring data governance
- Proficiency in data modeling, designing data pipelines, and integrating diverse data sources
- Strong understanding of big data technologies and enterprise data management
