We are seeking an experienced Databricks Administrator to serve as the hands-on technical owner of the Databricks platform supporting enterprise data and analytics workloads. The role is responsible for platform operations, security, governance, and cost management.
The candidate will administer Databricks workspaces, clusters, SQL warehouses, jobs, repos, and runtime environments.
Strong experience with Unity Catalog, including metastores, catalogs, schemas, grants, storage credentials, and external locations is required.
Must have expertise in Identity & Access Management, SSO, SCIM provisioning, RBAC, and least-privilege security models.
Responsible for implementing audit logging, secrets management, secure connectivity, and compliance controls.
Experience with automation using Terraform, CLI, REST APIs, and CI/CD pipelines is essential.
The role includes enforcing governance standards, data classification, lineage integration, and SDLC environment promotion.
Hands-on knowledge of Delta Lake, lakehouse architecture, and performance optimization techniques is required.
Candidate should manage monitoring, alerting, operational dashboards, and incident response processes.
Experience administering serverless compute, Git integrations, and Databricks Asset Bundles (DABs) is preferred.
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to communicate effectively during incidents are required.
AWS cloud expertise including IAM, networking concepts, logging, S3 security, and KMS is highly desirable.
Experience supporting compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP, HIPAA, or SOC2 is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of cloud/data platform experience, including 3+ years administering Databricks, required.
