We are seeking a highly motivated, mission-focused Senior ServiceNow Developer to join our growing team supporting a federal customer. This is an exciting opportunity to work on enterprise ServiceNow implementations that enhance operational efficiency, improve service delivery, and support critical government missions.

As a Senior ServiceNow Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, configuring, and implementing ServiceNow applications and enhancements. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders, administrators, architects, and business teams to deliver scalable solutions while ensuring adherence to platform best practices and development standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, configure, and implement ServiceNow applications, modules, and enhancements.
  • Work independently and collaboratively as a senior member of a technical delivery team.
  • Support multiple ServiceNow instances and domains for internal and external customers.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to iterative development efforts.
  • Provide technical guidance on ServiceNow design, architecture, development standards, and platform best practices.
  • Collaborate with business, systems, and technology stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Develop and maintain custom ServiceNow functionality, workflows, and integrations.
  • Create and maintain:
    • Business Rules
    • Script Includes
    • Client Scripts
    • Access Control Lists (ACLs)
    • Workflow Activities
    • UI Policies
    • Catalog Items and Catalog Workflows
  • Support deployment and rollout activities for new applications and enhancements.
  • Troubleshoot platform issues and identify opportunities to improve system performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Ensure solutions align with security, governance, and federal compliance requirements.
  • Contribute to documentation, knowledge transfer, and continuous process improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Secret Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting federal government clients and programs.
  • Strong experience developing custom ServiceNow solutions using JavaScript and platform scripting capabilities.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience translating business requirements into technical designs and implemented solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep knowledge of the ServiceNow platform and core modules, including:
    • Service Catalog
    • Service Portal
    • Incident Management
    • Knowledge Management
    • Reporting and Dashboards
  • Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Asset Management (ITAM), and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) processes.
  • Knowledge of ITIL best practices and service management frameworks.
  • Familiarity with PMP, PRINCE2, or related project management methodologies.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale ServiceNow environments.
  • Experience performing data analysis, data modeling, and working with large datasets.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) principles and enterprise application support.
  • Experience with platform performance monitoring, optimization, and governance.

Preferred Certifications

  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
  • Additional ServiceNow certifications are highly desirable
  • ITIL Foundation Certification preferred

This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
