Senior Technical Program Manager - Financial Services Platform Domain (6+ month assignment) 4 Open positions

Must Have the Following 

  • Financial Services Platform knowledge. Custodial platform experience would be amazing!

Responsibilities 

Our growing client is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager who thrives in technically complex software environments and enjoys bringing structure, transparency, and discipline to software delivery. This role partners closely with engineering, product, architecture, QA, and executive stakeholders to improve delivery outcomes while maintaining credibility with highly technical teams. 

 

Responsibilities include 

  • Build and maintain accurate delivery reporting covering scope, risks, dependencies, readiness, and overall program health. 
  • Partner with Product Managers and Engineering teams to ensure initiatives are well-defined before development begins. 
  • Work directly with architects, engineers, QA, and technical leaders to understand architectural considerations, testing strategies, technical debt, and release readiness. 
  • Communicate program status clearly to both technical teams and executive leadership. 
  • Identify delivery risks early and proactively develop mitigation strategies. 
  • Improve software delivery by reducing work in progress, breaking down large initiatives into manageable increments, and improving delivery flow. 
  • Track and analyze engineering performance metrics including Lead Time, Cycle Time, MTTR, and Change Failure Rate. 
  • Coordinate dependencies across multiple teams while supporting scalable delivery governance. 
  • Coach delivery teams on best practices that improve predictability, quality, and execution. 
  • Foster collaboration across Product, Engineering, QA, Architecture, Operations, and leadership teams. 

 

Requirements 

  • Significant experience leading technical software delivery programs within complex engineering organizations. 
  • Strong technical foundation in Software Engineering, Architecture, QA, Systems Integration, or a related technical discipline. 
  • Proven experience managing enterprise software delivery across multiple cross-functional teams. 
  • Deep understanding of Agile software delivery principles and Lean delivery practices. 
  • Experience improving engineering delivery using measurable software delivery metrics. 
  • Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, or comparable Agile planning tools. 
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and executive audiences. 
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity while maintaining delivery focus. 
  • Calm, collaborative, and solutions-oriented leadership style. 

 

Preferred Experience 

  • FinTech, Wealth Management, Banking, or other regulated enterprise software environments. 
  • Enterprise platform modernization initiatives. 
  • Large-scale distributed systems. 
  • Delivery transformation initiatives with measurable engineering improvements.
