Job Overview:
The IT Team supports a variety of applications related to client, leasing, financial, and employee needs. These applications run on platforms including Java/Oracle, Microsoft/SQL Server/.NET, PeopleSoft Financials, Oracle BI, and Salesforce. The team is migrating to micro-services for key applications and executing a roadmap to move core applications to the cloud. Enterprise Fleet Management IT has an exciting opportunity for an Engineer 2, Software to join the team! In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise to solve business problems, serve as a subject matter expert in your area of focus, and represent your department on complex assignments. You will evaluate technology's effectiveness through requirements gathering, testing, research, and investigation, making recommendations for improvements that enhance quality and effectiveness. Additionally, you will listen to and evaluate customer needs to deliver high-quality solutions that align with customer expectations.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Java-based software applications.
• Utilize Python expertise to enhance software functionality.
• Design and implement RESTful web services, AWS Lambda, and API Gateway solutions.
• Ensure API security frameworks, token management, and user access control, including AWS Cognito/Azure, OAuth, JWT, and OpenAPI.
• Query various data sources, including APIs, RDBMSs, and document stores.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Incorporate security into all decisions and daily responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Ability to work fully remote within the United States, residing in one of the following states: AL, AZ, FL, GA, ID, IL (excluding Cook County), IA, IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, MI, MO, NV, NM, NC, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WV, WI.
• 3+ years of experience in Java-based software development.
• Expert-level experience in Python.
• Proficient in RESTful web services, AWS Lambda, and API Gateway.
• Knowledge of API security frameworks, token management, and user access control.
• Proficient in querying various data sources, including APIs and RDBMSs.
• Commitment to incorporating security into all decisions and responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
• AWS Certifications: Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect (Associate), Developer (Associate).
• Experience with CI/CD frameworks and creating/modifying CI pipelines using GIT (Bitbucket preferred).
• Experience working on event-based services like SQS and SNS for data integration patterns.

Pay Range: $55- $60
