Overview: Every Turnberry consultant belongs to a practice, an internal group of consultants and leaders with shared experience and expertise. As a DevOps Engineer, you will join Turnberry's Digital Modernization practice, where technology and strategy combine to deliver exceptional digital experiences, empowering organizations to thrive in today's digital market.
Responsibilities:
Lead and contribute to the design, build, and migration of the RDE platform to a modern Kubernetes-based architecture
Own and operate Kubernetes clusters across Google Cloud Platform, AWS, and hybrid (on-prem + cloud) environments
Design, implement, and maintain monitoring, alerting, and dashboards using tools such as Splunk, Datadog, and Grafana
Ensure platform reliability, scalability, and performance through proactive monitoring and operational best practices
Implement and manage caching strategies (e.g., Redis, TTL policies) to optimize application performance
Design and maintain secrets management solutions aligned with security and compliance standards
Participate in and support a 24x7 on-call rotation, responding to and resolving production incidents
Perform deep production troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews
Lead infrastructure and DevOps initiatives end-to-end, including planning, execution, and delivery
Create, maintain, and improve technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and architecture teams
Mentor and coach junior engineers, promoting DevOps standards, automation, and operational excellence
Qualifications:
6+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering roles
Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments
Proven experience supporting cloud and hybrid infrastructure (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and on-prem)
Expertise in observability tooling: Splunk, Datadog, Grafana (metrics, logs, tracing, alerting)
Solid understanding of caching concepts (Redis, TTLs, eviction policies)
Experience implementing and managing secrets management solutions
Strong operations background, including incident response and production support
Ability to troubleshoot complex issues in high-availability, production systems
Experience leading projects and driving technical initiatives with minimal oversight
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting large-scale platform or legacy-to-modernization initiatives
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation
Experience working in regulated or enterprise environments
Prior experience mentoring or leading other engineers
The salary range for this role is $90,000 to $125,000 or the hourly equivalent.
