ETL Developer and Data Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in need of a ETL Developer and Data Engineer.

Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL and data pipelines supporting enterprise data platforms
* Integrate data from databases, APIs, files, and other sources into Snowflake and Oracle environments
* Build and enhance ingestion processes for both batch and real-time data workloads
* Develop reusable components in Java and/or Python for data transformation, orchestration, and pipeline automation
* Create and maintain REST API integrations supporting data movement across systems
* Optimize SQL, data models, and database performance to support analytics and reporting
* Troubleshoot pipeline failures, perform root cause analysis, and provide production support
* Develop and test reliable data solutions with a focus on scalability, performance, and maintainability
* Follow data governance, security, and compliance requirements throughout the development lifecycle
* Participate in code reviews, CI/CD processes, testing, deployment, and other DevOps practices

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline
* 4+ years of experience in ETL development, data engineering, or a similar role
* Strong programming skills using Java and/or Python
* Hands-on experience developing enterprise ETL pipelines and data integration solutions
* Experience working with Snowflake, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or similar database technologies
* Advanced SQL skills, including data transformation and query performance optimization
* Experience developing or consuming REST APIs for data integration
* Knowledge of batch and real-time data ingestion patterns and frameworks
* Familiarity with CI/CD and source control tools such as Jenkins, Git, or Bitbucket
* Strong troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
