Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior Network Solutions Architect to design and coordinate client connectivity solutions between the organization and its clients and vendors. This highly client-facing role combines network engineering expertise with solution architecture, technical presentations, and project coordination.

The ideal candidate has a strong networking background and experience in client-facing solution architecture, pre-sales engineering, sales engineering, or network consulting. Success in this role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly, and the ability to manage multiple client projects simultaneously. This is a design-focused position; network engineering teams are responsible for implementing configurations and building approved solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead client kickoff meetings, gather connectivity requirements, and present proposed network and infrastructure designs.
  • Design client and vendor connectivity solutions using established network architecture standards, including extranet, DMZ, VPN, file transfer, and application connectivity.
  • Create technical designs, PowerPoint presentations, Visio network diagrams, and supporting documentation.
  • Evaluate client requirements against approved connectivity designs and identify requests that require exceptions or additional technical review.
  • Coordinate the end-to-end project lifecycle, from initial design and client approval through engineering handoff, build review, client testing, production go-live, and operational documentation.
  • Collaborate with clients, vendors, network engineers, and internal infrastructure teams to resolve design questions and maintain project progress.
  • Serve as a Level 3 escalation point and subject matter expert for client and vendor extranet/DMZ architecture following implementation.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects with varying levels of complexity, prioritizing deliverables and adapting to changing client needs.
  • Support strategic initiatives involving tokenization and infrastructure modernization.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in network engineering, infrastructure design, solution architecture, or a related technical field; approximately 10 years preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of network architecture, extranet/DMZ environments, private connectivity, VPNs, file transfers, and end-to-end application flows.
  • Demonstrated experience in client-facing technical design, solution architecture, pre-sales engineering, sales engineering, or network consulting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to lead client meetings, deliver technical presentations, and explain complex concepts clearly.
  • Experience developing network diagrams and technical presentations using Microsoft Visio and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and client relationships simultaneously while maintaining accurate technical documentation.
  • Understanding of network implementation processes and the ability to review engineering builds against approved designs.
  • Experience in financial services, fintech, securities, or technology environments; financial services experience strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Background in network engineering followed by a transition into client-facing design, consulting, or solution architecture.
  • Experience supporting enterprise client and vendor connectivity, including complex multi-service implementations.
  • Familiarity with Splunk, Forward Networks, or similar network diagnostics and observability tools.
Role Considerations
  • This is a design and client engagement role, not a hands-on network configuration position.
  • Candidates should be comfortable managing a high volume of concurrent projects and frequent client meetings.
  • Relevant certifications are welcome but not required.
  • Initial onboarding includes shadowing experienced solution architects on client calls before independently managing projects.
