Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Oracle Database Developer for a hybrid position (3 days onsite) with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Pennington, NJ and Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This position is for a senior Oracle Database Developer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex PL/SQL database solutions. The role involves translating business requirements into scalable data models, performance tuning SQL and PL/SQL, and ensuring data integrity. The developer will collaborate with application, architecture, and DevOps teams within a structured SDLC environment to support stable enterprise systems.
Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain complex PL/SQL-based database solutions
- Translate business requirements into efficient and scalable data models
- Tune SQL and PL/SQL for high performance
- Ensure data integrity and reliability
- Support database migrations and upgrades
- Resolve production issues
- Work closely with application, architecture, and DevOps teams
- Participate in design reviews and follow SDLC, change management, and regulatory standards
Requirements: - 8+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle databases (11g, 12c, or 19c) in enterprise environments
- Advanced PL/SQL programming and complex SQL development skills
- Deep knowledge of indexes, partitions, transactions, locking, and the cost-based optimizer
- Proven expertise in performance tuning using tools such as AWR, ASH, and Explain Plan
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Familiarity with DevOps practices
Desired skills: - Skilled in data modeling
- Experience handling large and high throughput databases
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts
- Experience with version control and CI/CD pipelines
- Scripting experience
Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour
