Role: SAP ABAP/ODATA Developer
Duration: 8+ months Contract
Location: Remote (Toronto)
Job Description
The ABAP ODATA Developer participates in designing and coding complex features, debugging, unit testing, building configuring, and deploying application software. Responsibilities: Demonstrate full responsibility on the objects assigned and handle tasks independently. Analyzes, designs, and recommends third-party tools and custom applications. Analyzes required functionality and implements customizations to platforms or develops custom solutions to fulfill business requirements. Collaborates with team members to understand business requirements and create clear, technical specifications outlining the specific enhancement or functionality required. Supplies estimations, status updates, and escalations to ensure timely delivery of solutions. Provide support to projects already went live and develop new objects for ongoing projects. Provides on-going support to business and content teams managing sites on strategic technology platform. Provides technical oversight to project delivery team members. Prepares and maintains technical documentation. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Technical Skills
• Core ABAP & S/4HANA: Deep expertise in Object-Oriented ABAP, CDS views, SAP Data Dictionary, SQL tuning, and S/4HANA migrations.
• Deep, hands-on experience with classic SAP Business Workflow
• Deep, Hands-on experience with Adobe forms Development
• Modern Extensibility: Strong knowledge of RAP and SAP Fiori/OData integration.
• Integration & Tools: Familiarity with SAP BTP,PI, Solution Manager, and Agile/DevOps pipeline tools.
Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in a technical field and experience implementing SAP solutions and systems required.
• Minimum 3 full SAP Implementation project life cycle experience with solid demonstrated expertise in managing implementation projects of SAP technologies and SAP Development projects.
• Good experience in SAP support project life cycle.
• Experience in ABAP objects, OO Programing, Conversions, Enhancements, BADI and Performance Tuning.
• Strong experience in Gateway services and oData concept.
• Good experience in WebDynpro applications and Webservices.
• Good experience in FPM reports.
• Strong background in SAP Technical Development (ABAP) / ABAP for HANA.
• Knowledge of SAP Fiori would an advantage.
• Intermediate-high level in English Language communication is required
• Experience managing integration to and from SAP systems, SAFe Agile or other Agile methodologies experience preferred.
