Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Manual Machinist to join our team on 1st shift. This role is ideal for a machinist who enjoys hands-on work, complex setups, and producing precision components for industrial repair and rebuild applications.

Responsibilities:
Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, boring mills, and other conventional machine tools
Machine, modify, and repair large industrial components to blueprint specifications
Interpret blueprints, drawings, tolerances, and work instructions
Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other inspection equipment
Select tooling, speeds, and feeds appropriate for various materials and applications
Maintain tight tolerances and high-quality standards throughout production
Assist with troubleshooting and repair projects involving worn or damaged equipment
Work collaboratively with machinists, welders, and maintenance professionals to complete customer projects
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area

Qualifications:
3+ years of manual machining experience preferred
Strong experience operating manual lathes and mills
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings
Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and inspection techniques
Experience machining large components is a plus
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage setups with minimal supervision
Commitment to quality workmanship and safety
