Summary

Job Summary

We are looking for an Embedded Validation Engineer with 2-5 years of experience in embedded software and hardware validation. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in test execution, debugging, automation, and validation of embedded systems using industry-standard tools and communication protocols.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, execute, and maintain validation test cases for embedded systems.
  • Perform functional, integration, system, and regression testing.
  • Validate embedded software and hardware against requirements and specifications.
  • Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with development teams for issue resolution.
  • Perform debugging using logs, trace tools, and communication analyzers.
  • Develop and execute automated test scripts using Python or Shell scripting.
  • Work with requirement management and defect tracking tools.
  • Prepare validation reports and maintain test documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
Required Skills
  • 2-5 years of experience in Embedded Validation/Testing.
  • Strong knowledge of Embedded C.
  • Experience with communication protocols:
    • CAN / CAN FD
    • LIN
    • UART
    • SPI
    • I2C
    • Ethernet (preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with Vector tools:
    • CANoe
    • CANalyzer
  • Experience with debugging tools such as JTAG, Trace32, or Lauterbach.
  • Knowledge of requirement management tools like DOORS or Polarion.
  • Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira.
  • Scripting knowledge in Python or Shell scripting.
  • Familiarity with Embedded Linux or RTOS is an advantage.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle and validation methodologies.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in Automotive Embedded Systems.
  • Knowledge of UDS, Diagnostics, and Bootloader validation.
  • Exposure to AUTOSAR architecture.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
  • Familiarity with ISO 26262 or ASPICE processes is a plus.
Education
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
