Pay Rang: $25hr-$27hr
Job Overview
We are seeking a NextGen Operations Technician / NOC Technician to support high-availability environments within a Network Operations Center. This role involves monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving network and system issues supporting critical infrastructure and cloud-based environments
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor network and system events and respond to incidents
- Perform troubleshooting and resolve issues within defined SLAs
- Manage and update tickets in ServiceNow (Incident, Change, Problem)
- Provide remote technical support via phone, email, and ticketing systems
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex technical issues
- Communicate status updates to stakeholders during incidents
- Manage escalations and coordinate with external vendors
- Support continuous improvement of operational processes
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of experience in network or technical support
- Experience troubleshooting:
- Routers, switches, servers, and endpoints
- Knowledge of networking protocols:
- Ability to read and understand network diagrams
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work evening/night shifts
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a NOC or telecom environment
- CCNA or similar certification
- ITIL knowledge or certification
- Exposure to cloud environments (AWS preferred)
Technical Skills
- Networking: TCP/IP, VPN, routing, switching
- Tools: ServiceNow, monitoring tools
- Infrastructure: Hybrid and cloud-based systems
