Job Details

As the Senior Mechanical Engineer, you'll serve as the technical authority on complex HVAC and mechanical infrastructure projects. This role is centered around diagnosing system challenges, designing long-term solutions, and ensuring engineering excellence across all phases of work.

You'll play a key role in guiding projects from concept through execution-while also mentoring team members and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver high-performance outcomes.

What You'll Do
Engineering & Design Leadership
  • Evaluate existing building systems and identify opportunities for improved performance and longevity
  • Perform detailed load calculations and system sizing to optimize efficiency
  • Lead full-cycle HVAC system design, including ductwork and piping layouts
  • Develop construction documents and technical specifications, including stamped drawings

Problem Solving & Innovation
  • Move beyond "like-for-like" replacements to uncover root causes and implement smarter solutions
  • Recommend system improvements through operational and controls strategies
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and industry advancements

Collaboration & Client Engagement
  • Partner with internal teams across automation, electrical, and structural disciplines
  • Support client interactions by providing technical insight and building trust
  • Contribute to project pursuits by serving as the engineering expert in discussions with clients

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • 6+ years of experience in HVAC design, ideally within commercial or retrofit environments
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP
  • Solid understanding of HVAC and energy codes
  • Ability to think strategically and communicate complex ideas clearly

Base Salary: $125,000 - $150,000 + strong benefits package
