Job Title: IT Infrastructure Engineer IV

Job Summary:

The IT Infrastructure Engineer IV is a senior-level role responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex IT infrastructure systems. This position leads infrastructure initiatives, ensures high availability and performance, and provides technical leadership across teams. The engineer also drives strategic improvements, automation, and security best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage enterprise-level infrastructure solutions (servers, storage, networks, cloud platforms).
• Lead infrastructure projects including upgrades, migrations, and system integrations.
• Ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance across environments.
• Monitor infrastructure and troubleshoot advanced issues, providing root cause analysis.
• Implement and maintain security controls, compliance standards, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using modern tools.
• Collaborate with application, security, and DevOps teams to optimize system performance.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Maintain documentation for systems, processes, and architecture.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve efficiency and reliability.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 8-12 years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering or related roles.
• Strong experience with:
  • Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
  • Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Operating systems (Linux/Windows Server)
  • Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls)
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Industry certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Architect, VMware VCP, etc.).
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience in large-scale, highly available environments.
