Technology Systems Engineer

LOCATION

Wayne, New Jersey | Onsite

ROLE SUMMARY:

Provide daily onsite desktop and end-user support across a manufacturing plant in Wayne and a nearby warehouse in Pompton Plains. Support a facility with more than 110 PCs while diagnosing issues, restoring IT services, and maintaining reliable technology operations across both locations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide daily technical support to end users and visitors.
• Diagnose and restore desktop, infrastructure, and end-user services.
• Support Windows devices and a limited number of Mac devices.
• Maintain working knowledge of IT operations at the plant and warehouse.
• Assist with basic network troubleshooting, including routers, switches, ports, and cabling.
• Manage support tickets through ServiceNow.
• Support endpoint imaging, encryption, mobile data management, and local data management activities.
• Follow change management, service management, security, and operational procedures while identifying opportunities to improve service performance and stability.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience providing end-user and desktop support.
• Windows desktop support experience.
• Ability to work onsite five days per week in a manufacturing facility.
• Ability to spend significant time on your feet in a loud facility with operating machinery and forklifts.
• Preferred: Experience supporting IT operations in a manufacturing or corporate environment.
• Preferred: Basic understanding of networks, including routers, switches, ports, and cabling.
• Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Access databases and ServiceNow ticketing.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field with three years of related experience, or equivalent experience.
