Pay Range: $22/hr - $23/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with preparing, portioning, serving, and delivering meals
- Perform food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, mixing, grating, and assembling food items
- Follow standardized recipes, supervisor instructions, and proper food-handling guidelines
- Store and inventory food, supplies, and materials in accordance with Department and State regulations
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, appliances, and work areas
- Wash dishes, trays, pots, pans, utensils, and other kitchen equipment
- Operate various commercial kitchen equipment, including Stand mixers, Tilt braisers, Tilt steam kettles, Electric slicers, Steam cabinets, Industrial dishwashers, Ovens
- May operate a cash register and handle/count payments
- Read, interpret, and complete documents such as medical dietary orders, meal count forms, and logs
- May assist with transportation and delivery of food during emergencies
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of experience in food preparation and food service
- Some higher-level food service experience preferred
- Must be able to read and write English
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures
