About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and driven Aladdin Product Manager to join our Investment Technology team in NYC. In this role, you will serve as the primary Product Owner for the BlackRock Aladdin platform, driving the strategy, roadmap, and execution of front-office and risk management capabilities.

You will bridge the gap between investment professionals (Portfolio Managers, Traders, Risk Managers) and engineering teams, ensuring our investment platform is optimized, scalable, and deeply integrated with our surrounding data and trading ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

·         Product Ownership & Roadmap: Serve as the primary product owner for Aladdin, defining and maintaining a prioritized product roadmap aligned with front-office and risk management strategic priorities.

·         Stakeholder Engagement: Actively collaborate with Portfolio Managers, Traders, Risk Managers, and Compliance Officers to uncover pain points, gather robust business requirements, and validate technical solutions.

·         Vendor & Relationship Management: Manage the day-to-day BlackRock client relationship, including service reviews, enhancement requests, licensing discussions, and SLA accountability.

·         Agile/DevOps Delivery: Partner closely with engineering teams through the full Agile lifecycle—authoring detailed user stories, defining acceptance criteria, participating in sprint rituals, and managing release deployments.

·         Integration & Architecture: Contribute to the design of APIs and data integrations between Aladdin and surrounding systems (e.g., Snowflake, Perform, Verity, and internal data platforms).

·         Testing & Deployment: Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), parallel runs, and cutover planning for Aladdin enhancements and new module implementations.

·         Production Escalation & Knowledge Management: Act as the ultimate escalation point for Aladdin-related production issues, coordinating with engineering and BlackRock support. Maintain a living knowledge base covering configurations, integrations, and operational runbooks.

Required Qualifications & Skills

·         Experience: 5–8 years of experience in product management, business analysis, or solution design within the Financial Services / Asset Management industry.

·         Aladdin Expertise: Deep, hands-on technical experience with BlackRock Aladdin modules, including OMS, risk analytics, compliance, and portfolio management.

Technical Proficiency:

·         Strong proficiency in SQL and Snowflake.

·         Solid understanding of APIs, data pipelines, and data integration patterns.

·         Experience working within an Agile/DevOps delivery framework (CI/CD awareness, sprint planning).

·         Domain Knowledge: Thorough understanding of the end-to-end investment workflow, including trade lifecycle, portfolio construction, performance attribution, and risk monitoring.

·         Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical business stakeholders and vice versa.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

·         Hands-on experience with Order Management Systems (Perform) and Research Management Systems (Verity, Everest).

·         Proficiency or familiarity with Python for data analysis.

·         Exposure to or strong interest in Generative AI (GenAI) applications within Asset Management.
