Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Security Project Coordinator to support the Headquarters Office of Security in managing and coordinating security-related initiatives and projects. The selected candidate will assist in overseeing a portfolio of security programs, ensuring projects are executed efficiently while aligning with organizational objectives, timelines, and budget requirements.

This role requires strong project coordination, analytical, and communication skills to support leadership in tracking security initiatives, monitoring budgets, preparing executive-level presentations, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams including IT, Procurement, Legal, and Operations to support the successful implementation of security technologies and programs.

The Security Project Coordinator will also assist with research and evaluation of emerging security technologies, including AI-driven surveillance tools, and support vendor assessments to ensure the organization adopts effective and reliable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, coordination, and tracking of multiple security-related projects and initiatives.

  • Monitor project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure projects remain on schedule.

  • Track project budgets, monitor expenditures, and prepare financial reports to ensure alignment with approved funding allocations.

  • Assist in the preparation of executive-level presentations, reports, and project updates for senior leadership.

  • Coordinate with internal departments including IT, Procurement, Legal, and Operations to support project execution.

  • Maintain and monitor security program documentation including policies, procedures, and project records.

  • Support the development and maintenance of the video library, including tracking footage used for operational insights and incident documentation.

  • Track project performance metrics and provide status updates to leadership.

  • Assist in evaluating and improving existing security programs and processes.

  • Conduct research on emerging security technologies, AI surveillance tools, and security vendors to support future initiatives.

  • Support tactical programs including drone initiatives and deployable camera systems as required.

  • Assist with vendor evaluations, technology assessments, and procurement support.

Required Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of professional experience in project coordination, project management, or program support roles.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical discipline.

  • Basic understanding of project management principles and methodologies.

  • Familiarity with video management systems (VMS) and security camera technologies.

  • Basic knowledge of IT networking concepts, including protocols, encryption, VPNs, operating systems, and resource allocation.

  • General understanding of low-voltage security systems and electrical principles.

  • Basic knowledge of engineering design cycles and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
