Description of Task to be Performed:

AnaVation is seeking an Agile Scrum Master one of our cybersecurity programs in our San Antonio office. In this position, the right candidate will support managing timelines, resolving problems, and coach team members on Agile methodologies; coordinate sprints, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups; and drives transparency of contractor efforts across the cyber teams, coordinating with greater Government Agile processes.

Position Responsibilities: This position keeps delivery teams running at a cadence, with well-formed backlogs and clear, transparent reporting.

Responsibilities include:
  • Facilitate Scrum and Kanban ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives) for assigned teams.
  • Manage each project's scope and timeline; work with product owners to handle backlogs and new requests.
  • Coach team members in Agile frameworks and guide teams toward higher scrum maturity.
  • Remove impediments and resolve conflicts; act as point of contact for team communications.
  • Support Program Increment (PI) planning and coordinating dependencies with other teams.
  • Drive transparency of progress, risks, and metrics using available productivity and collaboration tools.
  • Ensure deliverables meet quality standards at the end of each sprint.
  • Coordinate across Cyber teams (Policy, Engineering, Operations, Penetration Testing) as assigned.
  • Foster a productive, transparent, non-adversarial working environment.
  • Manage the team backlog in alignment with program planning and communicate progress, risks, and dependencies transparently.

Required Qualifications:

  • Clearance: U.S. Citizen; TS/SCI.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Certification: Agile certification e.g., CSM, PSM I, SAFe Scrum Master, or PMI-ACP).
  • Location: Full-time on-site in San Antonio, TX.
  • Experience and Knowledge:
    • Mid-level comprehensive knowledge and apply expertise on multiple complex tasks requiring originality; operates with appreciable latitude in methodology and solutions; contributes to deliverables and metrics.
    • Knowledgeable in Agile methodology and Scrum; coordinates sprints, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
    • Manages timelines and scope; works with product owners on backlogs; resolves problems and removes obstacles.
    • Facilitates internal communication and effective collaboration; point of contact for external communications.
    • Experience with Agile tooling (Jira/Confluence or equivalent) and cross-team coordination.
    • Familiarity with cybersecurity and RMF delivery contexts; strong facilitation and communication skills.
    • Minimum years of experience - 2 years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Clearance: Active TS/SCI.
  • Education: Advanced degree in a related field.
  • Certification: Advanced CSM (A-CSM), PSM II, or SAFe Scrum Master.
  • Experience and Knowledge:
    • Experience supporting cyber or DevSecOps programs.
    • Experience supporting software factory environments.
    • Experience producing metrics and status reporting.
    • Experience coordinating multiple concurrent teams.
