Job Title: Senior IT Project Manager
Location: Houston, TX (Onsite Monday - Thursday & Remote on Fridays)
Duration: Long-term / Open-ended Contract
The IT Project Manager IV will provide senior level project leadership for strategic Data & Analytics initiatives. This team delivers multiple AI products that improve customer intent understanding, sentiment detection, and agent enablement.
This role requires a highly skilled project manager with hands on experience leading Data and/or AI and cloud-based initiatives, working across complex multi team environments, and ensuring disciplined project execution. The PM must be technically conversant in Data concepts-not to develop-but to effectively communicate between technical teams, business stakeholders, and vendor partners.
The PM will oversee end-to-end planning, governance, vendor coordination, risk management, delivery planning, and executive communication for multiple Data/AI products developed via internal teams, external vendors, or co-development arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Delivery
Lead the delivery of multiple Data or AI initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic 2026 transformation goals.
Develop detailed project plans, schedules, scope documents, and roadmaps; maintain accurate and evolving dlivery timelines.
Oversee largescale, multi-year projects with complex dependencies, including O&M and Capital budget components.
Manage change control, define entry/exit criteria, and ensure adherence to SDLC and Data governance processes.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
Coordinate across internal teams (Data Science, Data Engineering, Cloud Architecture, Product) and external vendor partners involved in co-development work.
Engage with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring clear communication, status updates, and risk/issue escalation.
Prepare executive-level presentations, steering committee updates, and project dashboards.
Budget, Risk & Governance
Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, cost-benefit analyses, and resource plans.
Identify, track, and mitigate risks across technical, business, data, and vendor areas.
Ensure compliance with Data & AI-related security, data movement, and model governance requirements.
Technical Environment & Tools
Cloud Platforms: Google Cloud Platform (primary), Genesis
AI/ML Concepts: Large language models, AI agents, sentiment analysis, intent detection, model lifecycle needs
Project Tools: Azure DevOps (ADO), Power BI, standard PM tools (for reporting, work tracking)
No ERP-specific expertise is required.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field; Master's preferred.
PMP or PMI certification required.
Minimum 8 years of project management experience; ideally 10+ years total.
At least 5 years of experience managing AI, cloud, or data-driven projects, preferably at scale.
Demonstrated experience overseeing multi-platform enterprise technology initiatives.
Experience working with cross-functional teams and vendor partners.

Experience within utilities or other regulated industries.
