SAP Basis Consultant - W2 Contract

Job Title: SAP Basis Consultant (S/4HANA | RISE | BTP)

Location: Lisle, IL (Local Candidates Only)
Work Mode: Hybrid – 4 Days Onsite

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Consultant with 5–10 years of hands-on expertise in SAP Basis administration, including strong exposure to S/4HANA implementation/migration projects and cloud-based SAP landscapes (RISE with SAP).

The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing SAP system landscapes, supporting end-to-end implementations, and ensuring optimal system performance, stability, and integration across platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Support full lifecycle S/4HANA implementations, upgrades, and system conversions
• Perform SAP system installation, configuration, and administration
• Manage and administer SAP HANA databases (monitoring, backup/restore, tenant DBs)
• Configure and maintain SAP BTP environments, including connectivity setup (Cloud Connector, destinations)
• Collaborate with SAP RISE team, AWS, and infrastructure teams for provisioning and issue resolution
• Manage Transport Management System (TMS) including transport routes and release cycles
• Monitor system health and performance using tools like ST22, SM21, SM37
• Ensure system availability, performance tuning, and issue troubleshooting
• Identify risks, dependencies, and integration challenges proactively
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including functional, cloud, and data teams

Required Skills & Experience

• 5–10 years of SAP Basis Administration experience
• Hands-on experience in S/4HANA implementation, upgrade, or migration (SUM/DMO)
• Strong expertise in SAP HANA Administration
• Experience working with RISE with SAP (AWS or other hyperscalers)
• Knowledge of SAP system landscapes (DEV, QA, PROD)
• Hands-on experience with SAP BTP configuration and connectivity
• Strong understanding of transport management (TMS) and system operations
• Experience in system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

• Exposure to SAP Datasphere
• Knowledge of SAP Fiori / Gateway administration
• Experience with SAP Solution Manager or Focused Run
• Familiarity with integration scenarios across SAP and cloud platforms

Soft Skills

• Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work in multi-vendor environments (SAP, IBM, PwC, etc.)
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
