Senior Java Developer

Job Summary: We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to enhance and support enterprise backend systems focused on integrations and tax calculation workflows. This role involves working within a production environment to develop and maintain scalable backend services, ensuring accurate implementation of business rules and seamless system integrations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and cloud-based architectures. Key Responsibilities: Develop, enhance, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot. Implement and validate complex business and regulatory logic within enterprise applications. Build and support RESTful API integrations with external systems and services. Analyze and trace data across services, databases, and systems to ensure accuracy and consistency. Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions. Support batch and event-driven processing workflows in cloud environments. Troubleshoot integration issues, data discrepancies, and system performance concerns. Participate in onboarding, knowledge transfer, and cross-team collaboration. Ensure code quality, stability, and adherence to enterprise standards. Required Qualifications: Strong hands-on experience with Java in enterprise application environments. Experience building and enhancing services using Spring Boot. Extensive experience with RESTful APIs and backend integrations. Working knowledge of AWS, including Lambda and event/batch processing patterns. Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and Oracle. Proven ability to analyze complex data flows and troubleshoot issues across systems. Experience working with large-scale, interconnected enterprise applications. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Experience working in Agile or iterative development environments. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with financial systems, tax platforms, or compliance-driven applications. Experience integrating with tax calculation platforms such as Vertex or similar tools. Experience in leasing, billing, invoicing, or ERP-related systems. Experience working on enhancement-focused projects within existing systems. Education: Bachelors Degree
