This is hard, urgent, selfless work-but it's work worth doing. If you're driven by purpose and ready to bring your best to work that truly matters for patients, we invite you to join us.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Genetec Platform Engineer to lead the architecture, deployment, and lifecycle management of our enterprise Genetec Security Center environment across multiple sites. This role owns the technical roadmap for our video management (VMS) and access control infrastructure, driving scalability, resiliency, and standardization as the organization grows. The ideal candidate combines deep Genetec platform expertise with enterprise systems architecture experience, and partners closely with IT, physical security operations, and site stakeholders to deliver a unified, high-availability security platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, deployment, and ongoing architecture of enterprise-scale Genetec Security Center environments spanning video management (VMS), access control, and integrated security systems across Indianapolis.
  • Develop and maintain the technical roadmap for the Genetec platform, including server infrastructure sizing, storage architecture, failover/redundancy design, and capacity planning for enterprise growth.
  • Own platform health and performance: monitor system uptime, troubleshoot complex site issues, and manage patching, upgrades, and firmware lifecycle across servers, edge devices, and appliances.
  • Design and implement system integrations between Genetec Security Center and third-party systems (identity management, building automation, alarm monitoring, analytics) via SDK, APIs, and native connectors.
  • Establish and enforce platform standards, configuration baselines, and documentation for site deployments, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity hardening.
  • Partner with IT infrastructure, network engineering, and physical security operations teams to align the Genetec platform with enterprise network, virtualization, and security policies.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and site-level technicians / integrators; serve as the escalation point for complex platform issues.
  • Manage vendor relationships with Genetec and system integrators, including licensing, support contracts, and technology roadmap alignment.
  • Lead new site onboarding and system migrations, ensuring minimal downtime and adherence to enterprise architecture standards.

Required Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience administering and engineering enterprise physical security systems.
  • 5+ years of hands-on Genetec Security Center architecture and deployment experience.
  • Genetec certification(s) required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire (e.g., Genetec Certified Support Technician (GCSST) or Genetec Certified Support Professional (GCSP)).
  • Deep understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure: Windows Server administration, SQL Server, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), storage (SAN/NAS), and enterprise networking (VLANs, QoS, multicast).
  • Experience designing high-availability, Site security architectures including failover, redundancy, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Working knowledge of IP video surveillance, access control hardware, and integration standards (ONVIF, Wiegand/OSDP).
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices as applied to physical security systems, including network segmentation, certificate management, and hardening guidelines.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for both engineering teams and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
  • Genetec Certified Architecture Design (GCADT) or equivalent advanced Genetec credential.
  • Experience with Genetec SDK/API development or scripting for custom integrations and automation.
  • Familiarity with cloud-connected or hybrid-cloud Genetec deployments (Genetec Clearance, Genetec Mission Control, or SaaS-based offerings).
  • Experience supporting security operations in a regulated or highly distributed enterprise environment (e.g., healthcare, pharmaceutical, critical infrastructure, financial services).
  • PMP, ITIL, or similar project/service management certification.
