Job Details:
Seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join a top ranked, family owned Bay Area Contractor. This role is pivotal in managing the planning, implementation, and execution of K12/K14 DSA construction projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. You will be responsible for managing projects from inception to completion, liaising with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, and ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standard. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction project management, particularly in the education construction sector including K12 and K14 construction.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all aspects of the construction project from planning to implementation.
2. Allocate resources for assigned projects.
3. Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors.
4. Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients.
5. Negotiate with contractors to receive reasonable order costs.
6. Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications.
7. Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
8. Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
9. Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks.
10. Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.

Qualifications:

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in construction project management.
  • Proven working experience in construction management, specifically in education construction, K12 construction, and K14 construction.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
  • Understanding of all facets of the construction process.
  • Familiarity with construction management software packages.
  • Ability to plan and see the "big picture".
  • Excellent time and project management skills.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Must have a keen eye for detail and the ability to multitask.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly.
  • Proficient in MS Office and project management software.
