Lead Construction Manager (CM) - Heavy Civil / Hydropower in Concrete, Washington
  • $70/hr. - $73/hr.

  • Long-term, project-based (~5 years)

We are seeking an experienced Lead Construction Manager (CM) to support a major dam improvement initiative on a high-visibility hydropower project. This role will lead construction efforts on critical infrastructure upgrades, playing a key part in enhancing regional energy and water systems.

This is a long-term opportunity where you'll take ownership of complex heavy civil construction activities, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver a large-scale dam modernization project.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Lead all on-site construction management activities for a major dam upgrade
  • Oversee execution of heavy civil and hydropower infrastructure work
  • Manage contractors, subcontractors, and field teams to ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence
  • Coordinate with engineering, environmental, and regulatory stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with FERC and dam safety requirements
  • Drive planning, sequencing, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Monitor project budgets, schedules, and performance metrics
  • Champion a strong safety culture across the job site
  • Provide consistent updates to project leadership and stakeholders

What We're Looking For:
  • 10+ years of construction management experience in heavy civil, dams, or hydropower
  • Experience delivering large-scale infrastructure projects ($100M+ preferred)
  • Strong understanding of dam structures, spillways, gates, and hydraulic systems
  • Familiarity with FERC-regulated projects is highly preferred
  • Proven leadership managing cross-functional construction teams
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
