Position Description:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Python Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable data solutions in a cloud-based environment. This role focuses on developing automation tools, building robust ETL pipelines, and supporting data platforms such as data warehouses and data lakes.
The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions, contribute to architectural decisions, and promote modern technologies including APIs, big data, and analytics. Strong experience in AWS, Python, and infrastructure-as-code tools is essential.

This role is located at a client site in Plano, TX. A hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

You'll work closely with finance and business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into practical, high-impact data solutions. The position also involves improving existing reporting tools, ensuring data accuracy, and optimizing performance across analytics platforms. Success in this role requires a balance of technical expertise, business understanding, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

. 7+ years of hands-on experience with Python, especially for automation and data processing
. Solid background in building and maintaining ETL pipelines and data ingestion workflows
. Experience working with relational and non-relational databases (RDBMS, NoSQL)
. Good understanding of data warehousing concepts and data lake architectures
. Proficiency in SQL, including writing complex queries and performance tuning
. Familiarity with AWS services, particularly CloudFormation and Lambda
. Experience with Terraform and GitLab for infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines
. Understanding of data modeling and metadata management practices
. Exposure to big data and analytics platforms
. Comfortable working in a team environment with clear communication and some leadership exposure
. General awareness of API-driven architectures and modern data ecosystems

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $89,600.00 - $188,100.00.
