Summary

Location-Remote

Role Summary:
Responsible for supporting the design, integration, verification, and operation of spacecraft systems. The role involves translating mission requirements into system-level designs, coordinating subsystem interfaces, and ensuring the spacecraft meets performance, reliability, and mission objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain spacecraft system requirements and specifications.
  • Support spacecraft architecture and system-level design activities.
  • Coordinate interfaces between spacecraft subsystems such as power, avionics, communications, attitude control, thermal, propulsion, and structures.
  • Perform system-level analysis, trade studies, and performance assessments.
  • Support requirements traceability, verification, and validation activities.
  • Develop and maintain system budgets such as mass, power, data, and link budgets.
  • Support spacecraft integration, testing, and qualification activities.
  • Participate in design reviews such as SRR, PDR, CDR, and TRR.
  • Identify and manage system-level risks, technical issues, and dependencies.
  • Support spacecraft launch preparation and on-orbit commissioning/operations activities.
  • Prepare technical documentation, test plans, procedures, and system reports.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, suppliers, and mission stakeholders.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Aerospace, Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • Understanding of spacecraft systems and the space mission lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering processes, requirements management, and verification/validation.
  • Familiarity with spacecraft subsystems and their interfaces.
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.
