Senior Cadence Allegro Consultant

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Fremont, CA that is seeking a Senior Cadence Allegro Consultant.

Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior PCB Layout Consultant to serve as a dedicated PCB layout specialist supporting internal engineering team. This consultant will utilize Cadence Allegro to execute component placement and trace routing based on predefined schematics, board sizes, and footprint standards. The engagement is project-based and flexible, with workload determined by project scope and urgency.

Responsibilities:
* Serve as a dedicated PCB layout specialist using Cadence Allegro, supporting internal design team
* Receive board size, component footprints, schematics, and preliminary design inputs from engineering
* Perform component placement within established board constraints and approved footprint libraries
* Conduct multiple placement iterations (daily or weekly as needed) with real-time collaboration and feedback from engineers
* Once placement is finalized, complete trace/net routing (connecting point A to point B) across all required layers
* Support complex multilayer PCB designs ranging from 2 to 28 layers, including blind vias and advanced stack-ups
* Ensure all layout work aligns precisely with established footprint and board layout standards
* Deliver finalized Allegro design files, with final design ownership retained internally
* Participate in scheduled meetings with engineers to review progress and align on technical direction
* Provide timely responses to layout updates and engineering requests

REQUIREMENTS:
* 15-20+ years of hands-on PCB layout and design experience
* Must have access to their own or their vendor's active Allegro license (do not submit candidates who do not have this)
* Candidates can come from a 3rd party vendor and sub vend for us if the company provides them access to Allegro Licensure
* Deep expertise in Cadence Allegro PCB Designer tool
* Experience supporting multilayer boards (2-28 layers), including blind vias and advanced stack-ups
* Strong understanding of component placement optimization and signal integrity considerations
* Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with engineering teams
* Ability to clearly articulate prior board complexity, technical challenges, and layout experience

Proven experience designing complex boards across:
* Power
* Analog
* RF
* Digital
* Grounding strategies

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
