Test & Commissioning Field Engineer in Miami

At Alstom, we build what millions depend on daily - rail transportation systems that can't afford to fail. We're more than 85,000 people worldwide creating the industry's most diverse portfolio: high-speed trains, metros, trams, maintenance services and integrated systems.

More Than a Job: A Mission

We are looking for a passionate Test & Commissioning Field Engineer to bring advanced rail systems to life. You will work alongside dedicated teams to ensure every system performs flawlessly, contributing to the reliability and safety of urban mobility. This role demands technical precision, ownership, and a drive to deliver excellence in every test and validation phase.

Your Role, Your Impact
  • Lead on-site testing and commissioning activities ensuring scalability and compliance with system integration standards.
  • Collaborate with design, validation, and operations teams to align test procedures and resolve interface issues efficiently.
  • Ensure reliability through rigorous functional and performance testing using diagnostic tools and data analysis platforms.
  • Drive innovation by implementing digital testing methods and continuous improvement initiatives across commissioning processes.
  • Promote knowledge sharing by documenting lessons learned and mentoring junior engineers in testing methodologies.

You'll work with sharp, committed teams solving complex challenges that shape the future of mobility, ensuring seamless integration of business and technology.

What You Bring
  • Proficiency in using test management tools such as ALSTOM Test Management System (ATMS) or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of signaling systems, traction power, and onboard control systems.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system architecture documentation.
  • Experience with root cause analysis and reliability improvement techniques like FMEA or 8D.
  • Collaborative mindset with a focus on safety, precision, and continuous learning.

How Success Is Measured
  • On-time delivery of commissioning milestones and adherence to project schedules.
  • Effective cross-functional collaboration and proactive issue resolution within teams.
  • Reduction in test defects and improved system reliability through data-driven insights.

Alstom, A Great Place to Grow
  • Work with cutting-edge rail technologies driving sustainable mobility solutions.
  • Contribute to global projects with tangible local impact in Miami and beyond.
  • Advance your career through continuous learning, mentorship, and technical excellence programs.

Here, progress isn't always easy but the impact is real. Because the scale is massive, the tasks are complex when the system runs, the train moves, and the city connects that feeling stays with you. And the legacy lasts.
