Technical Writer

We are seeking a highly technical and passionate Technical Writer to lead the documentation of our VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) deployment and architecture initiatives. In this role, you will work hand-in-hand with our engineering and deployment teams to create deployment guides, reference architectures, and operational runbooks for complex private and hybrid cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Create Deployment Documentation: Author, maintain, and refine structured, task-based technical documents for VCF deployments, Day 0/Day 1 configurations, and workload migrations.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), systems architects, and field engineers to capture complex information and ensure absolute technical accuracy in your drafts.
• Platform Specialization: Document and explain the integration of core VCF components, including SDDC Manager, vSphere, vSAN, NSX, and Aria Suite.
• Simplify the Complex: Transform intricate infrastructure processes, software-defined networking (SDN), and lifecycle management (LCM) into clear, step-by-step documentation for enterprise users.
• Review and Edit: Review architectural drafts, build guides, and best-practice documents, enforcing consistency, tone, and clarity.
• Security Patching Documentation: Document and Track security patching Qualifications & Requirements
• Writing Experience: Minimum of 4-6+ years of experience researching, writing, and editing product documentation for enterprise software, hardware, or IT infrastructure.
• Technical VCF Knowledge: Hands-on experience or deep familiarity with VCF deployment, upgrades, and software-defined data center (SDDC) components.
• Tool Proficiency: Working knowledge of technical writing and publishing tools such as Jira, Git, and Confluence.
• Cloud & Virtualization Understanding: Solid foundational understanding of vSphere, vSAN, and NSX topologies.
• Communication Skills: Ability to explain, in writing, complex technical concepts concisely with a proven track record of interviewing technical experts to gather details.
