Job Location: Richmond, VA

Job Type: Contract

Pay Range: $55.00hr - $60.00hr

Job Overview:

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of projects while ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, budgets, and quality standards. The Project Manager will work closely with stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and leadership to drive successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end project lifecycle management, from initiation through closure.
  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and status reports.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure effective collaboration.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Monitor project progress and manage scope, schedule, and cost changes.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings and provide regular project updates.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards, governance, and quality requirements.
  • Manage vendor and third-party engagements when applicable.
  • Drive continuous improvement in project delivery practices and methodologies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of project management experience.
  • Proven experience managing medium to large-scale technology or business projects.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, Hybrid).
  • Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, or equivalent certification.
  • Experience in healthcare, insurance, or enterprise technology environments.
  • Exposure to digital transformation, cloud, data, or application modernization projects.
