Job: Senior Solutions Engineer
Location: NYC, NY
Full Time
The role is remote, must be based in or able to relocate to NYC/NJ/Connecticut, with a strong preference for the NYC metro area. We encourage candidates to come into the office as much as possible.
Our client, a software development company, is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer Enterprise to join their NYC team. This role is ideal for someone with deep engineering expertise (DevOps, AppSec, CI/CD) who thrives in technical, customer-facing environments and can confidently lead complex enterprise evaluations. This is a true engineering-first solutions role, someone who can read code, troubleshoot intricate issues, understand vulnerabilities, and clearly articulate technical value to senior stakeholders.
What You'll Do
Become an expert in the platform and integrate it into customer CI/CD pipelines, developer workflows, and AppSec programs.
Lead technical discovery sessions, diagnose issues, and advise on architecture and solution design.
Own Proof-of-Value cycles end-to-end, including defining success criteria, configuring environments, and driving technical validations.
Write or tailor detection rules to identify vulnerabilities and demonstrate product capabilities.
Communicate technical differentiation to security engineers, DevOps teams, and executive leadership.
Reduce friction by improving demo environments, automations, and technical enablement content.
Partner closely with Account Executives (2:1 ratio) to support enterprise deals (~$140K ACV; 6 to 12 month sales cycles).
Contribute to scaling the Solutions Engineering function through improved processes, enablement, and best practices.
What Makes You a Fit
6 to 8 years in a pre-sales or customer-facing engineering role within enterprise SaaS supporting complex technical products.
Experience working with AppSec, DevOps, CI/CD, monitoring, or developer tooling.
Strong engineering foundation, tech-stack agnostic, with the ability to read code and dive deep into customer environments.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong understanding of developer workflows and CI/CD systems.
Excellent communication, presentation, and customer-facing skills; able to engage security engineers, DevOps teams, and technical leaders with clarity and confidence
