Sr. Google Cloud Platform Cloud Engineer (FedRAMP)

Role: Senior Google Cloud Platform Cloud Platform Engineer

Duration: 6+ Months

Location: Remote

Seeking a Senior Google Cloud Platform Cloud Platform Engineer to design and support scalable infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) within FedRAMP-compliant environments. This role will focus on building secure cloud foundations, infrastructure automation, and enabling development teams through reliable and compliant cloud platform services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure Google Cloud Platform cloud infrastructure supporting enterprise workloads.
• Build and manage FedRAMP-compliant cloud environments aligned with federal security and compliance standards.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or similar tools.
• Build and support container platforms using Kubernetes / GKE.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automation for infrastructure and platform deployments.
• Manage cloud networking, IAM, and security controls in regulated environments.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and auditing to support security and compliance requirements.
• Partner with engineering and security teams to maintain FedRAMP controls and cloud governance standards.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of cloud infrastructure or platform engineering experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
• Experience working within FedRAMP, GovCloud, or other regulated cloud environments
• Expertise with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
• Experience with Kubernetes / GKE
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, IAM, networking, and compliance frameworks

Preferred

• Experience supporting FedRAMP Moderate or High environments
• Google Cloud certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect)
• Familiarity with NIST 800-53 security controls
• Experience working with security, compliance, and audit teams
