Project Manager

The role is split 50/50 between two distinct data-centric workstreams:

• Invoice Modernization (50%): A "build" project focused on re-architecting and rewriting a legacy internal financial/invoicing system. This year focuses on building the "bones" (core architecture) for downstream consumption in 2027.
• Retail Customer MDM Implementation (50%): An implementation project of a third-party Master Data Management (MDM) software. This involves migration from an old platform to a new one, including complex integrations with downstream retail systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily tasks for engineering teams, ensuring developers stay on track with deliverables.
• Capture and monitor project dependencies and risks across both the Invoice Modernization and MDM workstreams.
• Maintain and update project documentation and task statuses within Jira (moving toward Jira Plans) and Smartsheet.
• Lead tactical meetings with engineers and technical leads to identify and clear blockers.
• Analyze task paths to mitigate impacts; if a dependency is blocked, identify alternative work that can be accelerated to maintain overall project velocity.
• Work closely with two separate Program Managers to provide status updates, while letting them handle high-level stakeholder management.

Must Haves:

• 3–5+ Years of PM Experience
• A "go-getter" mindset with enough experience to navigate technical discussions with engineers without needing constant hand-holding.
• Strong capability in Jira; must be comfortable moving away from manual sheets and leveraging Jira Plans.
• Experience using Confluence and Smartsheet for tracking and reporting.
• A proactive personality that seeks out gaps, takes initiative on instant messages/tasks, and asks follow-up questions rather than waiting for instructions.

Nice-to-Haves:

• An understanding of how invoices and financial workflows function (highly beneficial for the Modernization project).
• Previous experience working alongside third-party implementation vendors (relevant for the MDM project).
• Familiarity with Master Data Management (MDM) or large-scale data migration projects.
