Upstream Manufacturing Associate (Night Shift) ? Portsmouth, NH
Join our dynamic Upstream Manufacturing team on the front lines of biopharmaceutical production, where your hands-on precision in cell culture, inoculum expansion, and media preparation directly contributes to manufacturing life-saving medicines.
This is a fully site?based role. Working together in person supports close, real?time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.
Shift Schedule Details: This role operates on an alternating 12-hour night shift pattern (6:30 PM ? 6:30 AM):
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday

What you will do:
Perform core upstream processing operations, including aseptic inoculum expansion, cell culture monitoring, sampling, and batch media preparation.
Directly impact global health by ensuring biopharmaceutical products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to exact quality specifications.
Collaborate closely with night-shift cross-functional teams, including Quality Control and Process Support, to maintain smooth continuous operations.
Execute routine manufacturing operations using Automated Control Systems and physical batch records in strict compliance with cGMP standards.
Safely operate processing equipment, execute clean-in-place (CIP) / steam-in-place (SIP) protocols, and maintain cleanroom environments.
Troubleshoot routine operational variances alongside senior technicians, building technical expertise in large-scale upstream biotechnology.
What we are looking for:
Hands-on experience in a cGMP biomanufacturing, laboratory, or cleanroom production environment (upstream operations preferred).
Demonstrated proficiency in aseptic technique, media/buffer preparation, cell culture sampling, or related biological processing.
Strong attention to detail with standard operating procedures (SOPs), batch records, and accurate documentation.
Proven ability to work effectively within a tight-knit team during overnight shift rotations.
Relevant background in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Chemical Operations, or equivalent practical industry experience/technical training.
Comfort working in a aseptic cleanroom setting, including full gowning compliance.
Physical capability to stand for extended periods during 12-hour shifts and infrequently lift up to 25 lbs.
