Genesis10 is currently seeking an Agile Scrum Master with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract position.
Responsibilities: - Responsible for optimizing the flow of stories and the value delivered by a Scrum team
- Coordinate and facilitate Scrum ceremonies, manage dependencies for the team, provide visibility into team delivery plans and progress, and enable continuous improvement within the team
- Ensure the impediments are resolved quickly, the team follows their agreed-to processes, and that there is a good relationship between the Product Owner and the development team
- Guide and coach a team on Scrum practices
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies i.e. Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Demos/Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives
- Facilitate scaled planning for the team - e.g. Pre Planning/ Preparation, PI Planning Events - and represents the team in Scrum of Scrums/ART Syncs
- Help the team define norms/agreements, like a Definition of Ready and Definition of Done, and enforces the agreements
- Ensure the team has a healthy product and Sprint backlog (in collaboration with the PO)
- Facilitate dependency management/risk management/impediment removal for the team
- Promote/facilitate communication and collaboration within the Agile team to support value delivery and Sprint commitments
- Provide visibility into the Agile team's delivery plans and progress against plan to stakeholders
- Measure team delivery, maturity, and performance and reviews the metrics with the team to identify improvement opportunities
- Work under guidance and mentorship from senior Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches
Requirements: - Ability to drive a shared service mindset, fostering transparency, performance metrics, and accountability across teams
- Solid understanding of SDLC processes, both Waterfall and Agile, preferably in a financial services domain
- Strong ability to facilitate cross functional discussions with developers, QA, architects, and Product Owners
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strengths in analytical thinking, attention to detail, team leadership, problem solving, and coaching/mentoring team members
- Hands-on experience operating in a high agility CI/CD environment, supporting continuous improvement
Desired skills: - SAFe, CSM, PSM, or related Agile certifications
Pay range: $63.94 - $71.94
