FPGA Developer Job Description
Location: Waukesha, WI (In person)
Duration: 6 months (and extendable)
Rate: $50 to $55/hr Max

Job Description:
  • Develop VHDL code to support FPGA-based designs; be proficient in simulating and debugging design in code and on circuit board
  • Write detailed technical design documentation and test procedures.
  • Test and verify designs to ensure that they meet specifications and requirements.
  • Model, build, test, and modify product prototypes using working models or theoretical models constructed with simulation
  • Work will include development and execution of code and test procedures working in a regulated environment. The development environment is embedded in nature, understanding of both computer hardware and software required.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the development and testing of digital control systems used within a Magnetic Resonance (MR) system. Leverage knowledge of digital design techniques and communication standards to ensure a quality product.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree within appropriate Engineering/Science discipline
  • 5 years of experience on FPGA development including VHDL logic design, simulation, and testing on hardware.
  • Circuit board and FPGA troubleshooting experience
  • Ability to operate lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters.
  • Must be able to work onsite at our Waukesha, WI location

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • 10 years of experience on FPGA development
  • Demonstrated skills in proactively identifying, facilitating and driving closure of a product/program
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Design experience with Altera's Quartus Design Software
  • Design experience with QuestaSim
