Introduction
As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines using AWS cloud services. You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure the reliability, quality, and security of data across various sources.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain batch and streaming ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS services such as Glue, Lambda, and Step Functions.
- Implement data ingestion frameworks from diverse sources including APIs, databases, and streaming platforms.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and security across all data pipelines.
- Build and optimize data lakes and warehouses using Amazon S3, Redshift, Athena, and Lake Formation.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable datasets for analysis.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows to ensure high availability and performance.
- Stay updated with emerging AWS technologies and recommend improvements to enhance data engineering processes.
Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 10-12+ years of IT experience minimum.
- Strong experience with AWS cloud services: S3, Glue, Redshift, EMR, Kinesis, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, Athena, SNS, and SQS.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and PySpark.
- Knowledge of data modeling, schema design, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Experience with security best practices including IAM, encryption, and compliance.
