This is an
onsite position for a motivated, hands-on
Senior Systems Engineer with experience working with
electro-mechanical devices and complex systems.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in systems engineering, test method development, hands-on testing, troubleshooting, data analysis, and technical documentation. Experience in a regulated environment, particularly the medical device industry, is highly desirable.
Job Responsibilities - Apply intensive and diversified knowledge of design principles, practices, and implementation to complex systems and assignments.
- Generate design concepts and participate in design reviews.
- Support development and testing activities to assess performance against design specifications.
- Conduct reliability testing and assess system interactions.
- Make independent engineering decisions and recommendations.
- Assist with the development of manufacturing processes.
- Troubleshoot engineering and manufacturing issues and determine root causes and potential engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities - Develop test methods and Design of Experiments (DoE).
- Perform data analysis and utilize Python for data processing and analysis.
- Analyze digital outputs generated by sensors and interpret test data.
- Develop and maintain test beds for complex systems and devices.
- Apply strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
- Develop comprehensive testing plans and strategies.
- Execute hands-on testing protocols and document results.
- Author detailed technical reports, test protocols, and engineering documentation.
- Manage the defect lifecycle, including defect collection, documentation, tracking, and summarization for development partners.
Must-Have Skills - Risk and requirements management
- Technical writing, including protocols, test reports, and engineering documentation
- Demonstrated experience working with complex systems
- Hands-on testing and troubleshooting experience
- Experience with test method development and data analysis
- Python coding capability
Education & Experience - Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering required. Electrical, Chemical, Biomedical, or Software Engineering preferred.
- Experience: Approximately 8 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Experience with electro-mechanical devices and complex systems.
- Experience in an FDA or FAA regulated environment is a strong plus.
- Medical device industry experience is highly preferred.
Work Schedule Standard work hours are
9:00 AM-5:00 PM. The schedule is flexible and can be discussed with the RRP after the candidate is selected.
Interview Process - Virtual interviews will be conducted.
- Two rounds of interviews are expected.
Ideal Candidate: A hands-on Senior Systems Engineer with approximately 8 years of experience in complex electro-mechanical systems, strong test and troubleshooting expertise, Python/data analysis capabilities, technical writing skills, and experience with risk and requirements management. Medical device or other regulated industry experience is strongly preferred.
