About the RoleIn this role, you will support infrastructure engineering initiatives focused on enterprise-level physical security and surveillance systems. You will contribute to planning, implementation, and optimization efforts across a large, distributed environment. You'll partner closely with engineering teams and stakeholders to evaluate issues, recommend solutions, and ensure systems meet operational, compliance, and security requirements.
You'll apply your technical knowledge to troubleshoot moderately complex challenges, participate in solution design discussions, and provide hands-on support for physical security technologies including video surveillance, alarm systems, and IP-based networking.
Responsibilities- Consult on and support moderately complex infrastructure engineering initiatives and deliverables.
- Review, analyze, and troubleshoot infrastructure challenges requiring evaluation of multiple variables.
- Contribute to resolving technical issues and ensuring compliance with engineering standards, policies, and procedures.
- Assist with planning and implementation efforts for infrastructure engineering projects.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, partners, and stakeholders across Infrastructure Engineering.
- Support deployment, maintenance, and testing of enterprise-class physical security and surveillance systems.
Minimum Qualifications- 4+ years of experience in Technology Infrastructure Engineering or Solutions (or equivalent experience through work, training, military service, or education).
- 3+ years of experience with video surveillance and security alarm systems.
- 3+ years of experience with IP-based network implementations, including VLANs, VLAN routing, and Access Control Lists (ACLs).
- 1+ year of hands-on field installation experience with IP cameras, Network Video Recorders (NVRs), and alarm panel hardware.
- 1+ year of experience evaluating and pilot-testing physical security surveillance and monitoring technologies in a large, distributed enterprise.
Preferred Qualifications- Ability to work effectively in a virtual, distributed team across multiple time zones.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum and Kanban).
- Experience with Hanwha and Arecont IP cameras, and their integration with the Verint surveillance platform.
- Proficiency with Verint solutions, including OpCenter, VidCenter, and Edge VMS components.
- Experience with Digital Monitoring Products (DMP) hardware/software, including Virtual Receivers and Entre.
- Experience with Honeywell Mastermind alarm monitoring software.
- Strong understanding of IP networking, including VLAN design, routing, ACLs, 802.1x certificate-based authentication, switch configuration, and PoE power settings.
